A local publication mentioned The Bad Apple, a store in SE Portland where they sell my movies. They also printed the title of one of my movies and it was CURSE OF THE RED DEATH, I think the second movie I shot. I was in the fourth grade and my dad was the d.p. Upon seeing that title in print, I felt I should make a stab at a re-make. So I started writing a script. I like how it’s coming along. Major topics include psychological vampirism, ageing, the dynamics of official power, and aliens. It’s kind of like Not Of This Earth done in the style of Dark Shadows. If I finish it and am happy with it, I will shoot it.
